About Dave

My name is Dave Sheldon, and I am a Senior Programmer at Greenshades Software. At Greenshades we specialize in tax services and have a few offerings in payroll supporting services. We believe in problem-solving, flexibility, and a casual, family atmosphere that makes everyone feel at home. Greenshades was founded as a Christian company, and we do our best to conduct business in an ethical fashion, standing behind our products and treating our clients with respect and understanding.

Long before working at Greenshades, at the age of 3, I learned what a computer was for the very first time. That discovery led to my unending appetite for understanding how things and learning how to manipulate things to work differently. For example, throughout high school I had no trouble with math tests, because when I wasn’t playing video games I was programming my TI-82 graphing calculator to do quadratic equations, trigonometry, and calculus operations for me.

After deciding to take programming as a career path, I graduated from Jacksonville University on May 5, 2007 (Summa Cum Laude) with a BS in Computing Sciences. Two days later I began working for Greenshades Software as a junior programmer. I learned quickly that I knew nothing and have been recovering ever since. I now lead the team responsible for our online W-2 and paystub offering, www.downloadmyform.com, and I have my hands in a variety of other projects as well.
